The United States is the most preferred destination of the French travelers among the top 10 long-haul destinations. Two other North American destinations (Canada and Mexico) are also in the top 10.
Southeast Asia is still very popular among the French with Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia in the top 5. Japan is once again on the list, thanks to cheaper flights.
In the top 10 of European countries, Spain surprised and dethroned Italy, becoming the French's favorite destination, with Italy ranking second. There was also the return of Turkey and Tunisia and an increase for Morocco. Belgium is also making a good breakthrough in the top 10. An ideal destination for a short stay or weekend. Brussels is only 1h20 from Paris by Thalys, but Antwerp, Ghent or Bruges are also to be discovered. Cultural, festive and gastronomic diversity are on the agenda in Belgium.
Cuba, at the top of the top 10 islands, is a place where holidaymakers come to seek warmth. In second place is Bali, followed by the French overseas territories (Guadeloupe, Reunion Island), which remain "a sure bet".
