An increase in the number of tourists will contribute to the stable economic growth of Armenia.
According to experts, the largest number of guests coming to Armenia are from Russia (52% of visitors), Georgia (12%), Iran (6%), Germany, France, and the USA. Also, attracting tourists from India could be beneficial for Armenia. Tourists from India prefer winter, which helps balance inbound tourism all year round.
According to the Committee of Tourism of the Republic of Armenia data, in January-May 806, 000 tourists visited Armenia, which is almost twice more than in the first five months of last year (more than 464 thousand people). According to the forecasts of Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan, this figure could exceed 2 million visitors by the end of 2023.
