French Riviera is still very popular among travelers. In 2012 the destination welcomed 11 million visitors according to the CRT Riviera.
In spite of the economic crisis, 12.5 million overnight stays were registered in hotels and holiday residences.
The revenue from hotel rooms increased by 4%, according to a MKG survey. The overnight stays in 4* or 5* hotels represent 13% of the total income.
These two categories represent for the first time more than 40% of the hotel overnight stays. French Riviera boasts 32 five star hotels among which 6 are in Antibes, 6 in Cannes and 3 in Nice.
