Airbus delivered a total of 497 aircraft to 77 customers between January and September this year, which is 1.88% more than the number of aircraft deliveries in the same period of the previous year, when it reached 488.
In September, the company delivered 50 aircraft to 29 customers, 9% less than the 55 aircraft delivered during the same month last year.
According to the manufacturer, so far this year, the company has delivered 441 single-aisle aircraft, 20 of the A380 family and 36 of the A350 family. As for signed orders, the company closed agreements for 235 aircraft in September.
Looking ahead to the remainder of the year, the company assumes there will be no further disruptions to the global economy, air traffic, supply chain, or company operations. Therefore, it expects to reach 770 commercial aircraft deliveries by the end of the year, exceeding the 735 in 2023.
Airbus has widened its lead over Boeing. In September, Boeing delivered 33 commercial aircraft, five more than in September 2023. However, in the first nine months of the year, Boeing completed 44% fewer aircraft deliveries, totaling 291, due to a worker strike in the Seattle region (USA).
Boeing's September shipments included 28 737 aircraft, four 787 Dreamliners, and one 767-300F freighter.
Regarding orders, Boeing closed deals for 65 commercial aircraft in September, 71% less than the previous year (224). The company has secured 315 orders this year, marking a 62% decrease from last year's 848 orders.
